| Blackwatch Team Leader | Commands Blackwatch. Runs the squad's selection, training, and field operations, and leads it on deployment. Held concurrently by the Assistant Chief of Security/Tactical: the department's deputy takes the team through the door while the Chief of Security/Tactical coordinates from the command center. Reports to the Chief of Security/Tactical and, on operations, to the CO. Blackwatch also serves as the field arm of the Rubicon's intelligence operations, executing insertions, extractions, and protection tasks in support of Intelligence when a mission requires them on the ground. | 1 | YES |
| Deputy Team Leader | Second in command of Blackwatch. Typically leads the second fire-team (Bravo) so the squad can work two objectives at once, and assumes command of the whole squad if the Team Leader is down or detached. Shares responsibility for training and readiness. | 1 | YES |
| Tactical/Assault Specialist | The squad's close-quarters and direct-action edge. Point on boarding actions and entries, leads on weapons, breaching-under-fire, and the hard end of any engagement. The member most likely to be first through a hostile airlock. | 1 | YES |
| Breach & Engineering Specialist | Seconded from Engineering. Handles breaching, demolitions, and hostile-systems work, forcing doors, defeating or sabotaging enemy tech, keeping a boarding team moving through a ship that doesn't want them aboard. The reason Blackwatch never has to wait on the door. | 1 | YES |
| Field Medic | Seconded from Medical. Deploys with the squad and keeps people alive where a sickbay can't reach them, trauma care under fire, stabilization, extraction of the wounded. Trained to fight as well as treat. | 1 | YES |
| Recon & Science Specialist | Seconded from Science. The squad's eyes and analysis, sensors, hazardous-environment assessment, reading an unknown situation before it becomes a lethal one. First to tell the team what they're actually walking into, especially on anomalies, derelicts, and first-contact-gone-wrong. | 1 | YES |
| Tactical Intelligence Specialist (Intelligence Liaison) | Seconded from Intelligence. The squad's link to the Rubicon's intelligence apparatus, plans and coordinates Blackwatch's role in intelligence operations, briefs the team on the picture going in, and handles the intel side of an op in the field: securing or exploiting recovered material, managing a source or defector during an extraction, reading the operation as it develops. Where the other specialists bring breaching, medicine, and analysis, this billet brings the intelligence, and the direct line back to the Intelligence department. | 1 | YES |
| Operative | General Blackwatch team member, filling out Alpha and Bravo fire-teams. Cross-trained security personnel who've earned a place on the squad. (Multiple slots.) | 6 | YES |
