A senior Romulan officer signals the Rubicon directly, offering the Empire's entire order-of-battle for the sector in exchange for asylum. He'll cross at Chaltok in fifty hours, alone. But his intelligence goes dark in all the wrong places, a warbird is already shadowing the crossing point, and the crew has forty minutes to decide whether they're rescuing a defector or walking into a trap both sides will go to war over.
